Donald Takayama
Donald Takayama è morto per un
infarto. Il leggendario shaper
hawaiiano Nato alle Hawaii nel 1944,
all’età di soli 12 anni,si era
trasferito da Waikiki a Venice Beach
per shapare sotto il marchio di
Velzy-Jacobs Surfboards.
Successivamente ha lavorato per
Webber, prima di fondare il suo
marchio
Hawaiian Pro Designs.
Fin dall’inizio della sua carriera
di shaper, ha realizzato
longboards
per
alcuni dei rider più iconici, come
Joel Tudor e Miki Dora. Takayama è
autore di alcuni dei design più
innovativi nel longboard. I
suoi shape sono tra i più ricercati
e apprezzati anche dai
collezionist |
